Mumbai, Dec 7 (PTI) With severe liquidity crunch continuing to persist, the central bank is unlikely to hike rates further when it undertakes the mid-quarter review on December 16, HDFC Group chairman Deepak Parekh said today.
"I don''t think they (Reserve Bank) will tighten (the interest regime). There is so much shortage of liquidity in the system ... I don''t think they can increase interest rates further (at this juncture)," Parekh told reporters after being awarded Chevalier de l''ordre de Legion d Honneur'' (Knight in the order of the legion of honour) by the French government here.
Liquidity, which was in abundance has disappeared following the continuous tightening measures by RBI in its effort to contain the mounting inflationary pressures in the system, Parekh said adding, "Today banks are borrowing large sums of money on a daily basis ranging from Rs 70,000 crore to Rs 1 lakh crore."
Since mid-October, RBI has repeated opening a second liquidity window (liquidity adjustment facility or LAF) under which it has been allowing banks to borrow twice a day from the central bank.
Since the beginning of this year, RBI had brought back the interest and key policy rates to the pre-crisis levels by six successive interventions since the beginning of this year.
That apart, the apex bank has also brought down the SLR (statutory liquidity ratio, which is the mandatory amount of funds banks have to maintain with themselves to meet prudential norms) by 100 basis points to 24 per cent as a temporary measure to keep the system liquid.
The lower SLR facility is now open up to January 15.

Digvijaya claims are painful: Karkare's wife
Kavita Karkare, widow of former Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad chief Hemant Karkare who was killed fighting Pakistani terrorists on the night of November 26, 2008 in Mumbai, has rubbished Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh claims that her husband had called the Congress leader just hours before the Mumbai terror attack saying that his life was under threat.
Speaking to CNN-IBN she said that she knew nothing of her husband making a call to Singh and added that her husband constantly faced all sorts of threats. She objected to his martyrdom being politicised.
CNN-IBN: What do you think makes Digvijaya Singh make these comments after two years of your husband's death?
Kavita Karkare: Actually many are saying these comment that he was killed by terrorist but that is 100 per cent wrong because on 26th (November 26, 2008) we have seen that the Pakistani terrorists are involved and I don't agree with Digvijaya Singh's statement. Digvijaya Singh wants to bring politics in this thing but and his relating 26/11 with Hindu people and that is really painful.
CNN-IBN: Do feel that there is you know something like a communal divide that is being created by Digvijaya Singh?
Kavita Karkare: Yes and Pakistan will get benefit from all these things.
CNN-IBN: So do you think that will affect the 26/11 investigation?
Kavita Karkare: Definitely it will affect. My husband was a very balanced person. Being a Hindu also he was very much balanced and he gave equal importance to all religion.
CNN-IBN: Do you feel traumatised by these various theories that keep coming in time and again?
Kavita Karkare: Yes! I really feel traumatised. I really feel sad sometimes. My children are staying abroad, one is in Europe and the other is in America. Sometimes I feel that I should go and stay with them.

Digvijay Singh sparks new storm with Karkare remark
Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Saturday stirred a fresh controversy with a claim that Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare had, in a telephone call hours before being killed in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack, said to him that Hindu groups had threatened him. Karkare's widow and the BJP slammed Singh's remarks, while an uncomfortable Congress said they were Singh's 'personal' comments.
Singh said that Karkare called him up a few hours before he was killed in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack and told him about threats from Hindu organisations as he was probing the Malegaon blast case in which some Hindu groups were allegedly involved.
Digvijay's remarks on Karkare unfortunate, says BJP
Hemant Karkare's widow Kavita speaking to reporters on Saturday, asserted that 'no Hindu outfit' was connected with her husband's killing. 'Pakistani terrorists killed my husband, Digvijay Singh is wrong.'
'Do not link his death with threats from Hindu organisations. The statement can mislead people,' she added.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad, reacting to Singh's remarks, said: 'His comments are unfortunate, and we condemn it.'
'The country's security, fight against terror and investigations into the 26/11 attacks case have suffered a serious blow due to Digvijay Singh's comments. Terrorists from across the border will question the entire 26/11 attacks,' Prasad told reporters in New Delhi.
'Terrorists from across the border and their patrons are going to lap it up,' he said.
Prasad also alleged that Singh was making such statements to gain political mileage.
Karkare's widow slams Digvijay's comment
'He should not compromise with the country's security, and he is the one who went to Azamgarh (in Uttar Pradesh) and fetched a lot of criticism, and the Congress had to apologise,' Prasad said about Digvijay Singh.
Singh had gone to Azamgarh where many of those involved in the Sept 13, 2008, Delhi serial bombings belonged and spoke to their families.
The Congress, attempting to wriggle out of the controversy, said Singh's remarks were of 'personal' nature as Singh and Karkare knew each other.
'Digvijay Singh and Hemant Karkare knew each other personally because of their Madhya Pradesh connection. Their talks were also personal and I suppose he (Singh) has not made these comments as spokesperson of the party. Definitely, the party would not like to comments on this,' Congress spokesperson Janardan Dwivedi told reporters.
Karkare hailed from Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
Dwivedi said the 'private conversation' between the two was made public by Singh in a programme and the party has no role into it.
'Hence, only he can comment on it. The party has nothing to say on it,' the party spokesperson added.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Singh said that Karkare was 'pained' over criticism by some BJP leaders of his (Karkare's) role in probing the alleged involvement of some Hindu groups in the Malegaon blast.
Karkare feared for his safety from Hindu extremists: Digvijay
'I came to know of the criticism... Rajnath Singh and others were putting questions on his credibility. He was pained,' Singh said.
Earlier too, Singh has created controversies with his comments - questioning the Batla House shootout with terrorists after the Sep 13, 2008, serial bombings in New Delhi, visiting Azamgarh, and questioning the home minister's handling of the Maoist problem as a security issue.

bill gates daughter Adults Blame Parents For Education Problems
Blaming teachers for low test scores, poor graduation rates and the other ills of American schools has been popular lately, but a new survey wags a finger closer to home.
An Associated Press-Stanford University Poll on education found that 68 percent of adults believe parents deserve heavy blame for what's wrong with the U.S. education system — more than teachers, school administrators, the government or teachers unions.
Only 35 percent of those surveyed agreed that teachers deserve a great deal or a lot of the blame. Moms were more likely than dads — 72 percent versus 61 percent — to say parents are at fault. Conservatives were more likely than moderates or liberals to blame parents.
Those who said parents are to blame were more likely to cite a lack of student discipline and low expectations for students as serious problems in schools. They were also more likely to see fighting and low test scores as big problems.
"Nobody is too busy to raise a child for a successful future," said Wilfred Luise Vincent, 65, of Coppell, Texas. Vincent worked early or late shifts for Delta Airlines during most of his career so his two daughters would have a parent at home after school.
Now he's retired and home after school to help guide his granddaughter while his daughter works.
The problems children and their parents deal with inside and outside of school every day are growing, said Julie Woestehoff, executive director of Parents United for Responsible Education, a Chicago advocacy group.
Children are tired, they're hungry and they need someone to help with their homework. Some kids face violence at home or in their neighborhood. Some parents are trying so hard to keep a roof over their family that they can't help with school.
More than half of those polled said student discipline and fighting, violence and gangs were extremely or very serious problems in schools. Nearly as many expressed concern about getting and keeping good teachers.
Most said education in their local public schools is excellent or good, but 67 percent also believe the U.S. is falling behind the rest of the world when it comes to education.
But a majority of parents see improvement in the system since they were in school: 55 percent believe their children are getting a better education than they did, and three-quarters rate the quality of education at their child's school as excellent or good. Most say their child's school is doing a good job preparing students for college, the work force and life as an adult.
A variety of research in past years backs up the poll respondents' sense that parenting plays key roles in school performance.
One in 10 kindergarten and first-grade students misses a month of school every year, which can put them behind their classmates for years, according to Attendance Counts, an advocacy group. By ninth grade, missing 20 percent of school is a better predictor of a student dropping out than test scores are, said Attendance Counts director Hedy Chang. In the poll, 41 percent said students not spending enough time in school is a serious problem.
Exposing kids under 2 to too much television can cause them to develop language skills later, researchers at the University of Washington have found.
Hungry students do worse on standardized tests and are absent more often, according several studies that have connected poor nutrition with students who have trouble concentrating.
Educating parents about how the school system works and welcoming them to get involved may also help their children, according to Joyce L. Epstein, research professor of sociology at Johns Hopkins University, who focuses on school, family and community partnerships.
"Without programs to educate parents, everyone is working in some stage of ignorance." Epstein said.
Some things just can't be fixed by schools or even the community, says Mike Principe, 62, of Melrose Park, a suburb of Chicago, Ill.
In addition to worrying about school violence, a lack of student discipline, low expectations for achievement, difficulty attracting good teachers and unimpressive student test scores, Principe is concerned about divorce, the economy, single parents and the national debt.
"These are tough times we're living in," Principe said. "What's our world going to be like when our 2-year-old is an adult?"
The AP-Stanford Poll on Education was conducted Sept. 23-30 by Abt SRBI, Inc. It involved interviews on landline and cellular telephones with 1,001 adults nationwide and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.9 percentage points.
Stanford's participation in this project was made possible by a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

All you wanted to know about JMET 2011
JMET 2011 is scheduled on December 12, 2010. It is a 3 hours duration paper-pencil test which consists of 120 objective/multiple choice type questions of one mark each. The JMET paper is divided into four major sections—Verbal Communication, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation.
It is a 120 mark question paper with 0.25 negative marking for every incorrect response. To qualify JMET one should not only secure minimum marks in the test paper, but should clear the minimum sectional cut-off. However, it is advisable to focus on maximizing the overall score since the sectional cut-off marks are generally do not go very high. One should attempt more questions from sections they are most comfortable with. Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation have been the most scoring sections in JMET over the years. Quantitative Ability has been time consuming with a few difficult questions.
In 2009, the 120 questions were evenly distributed among the four sections, i.e., 30 questions per section.
The Verbal Communication section aims at testing a candidate's understanding of English as a language. Effective decision making is the most challenging task before a potential manager, this section examines a candidate's know-how of common forms of English expression, grammar and usage in business which would enable him to extract information from the available data and arrive at an informed decision. It is an off-beat kind of section which other entrance tests do not have and thus requires dedicated preparations. Regular analysis of business articles and reference articles, besides a firm grasp of communicative English grammar helps in mastering over this section.
The Logical Reasoning section consists of questions on analytical reasoning, argument analysis, and analysis of explanation.
Quantitative Ability section aims to test a candidate's understanding of mathematics.
This section has questions on…
Basic Mathematics: Numbers; Operations; HCF and LCM; Fractions, Decimals and Percentages; Ratio and Proportion; Roots and Power; Logarithms; Progressions; Elementary Geometry and Mensuration; Elementary Trigonometry; Introductory Set Theory
Linear Algebra: Equations and Inequalities; Matrices; Determinants; Simultaneous equations and solutions; Elementary Linear Programming; Elementary differential calculus involving functions of one variable; Elementary integral calculus
Probability and Statistics: Types of Data; Frequency Distributions; Measures of Central Tendency and Dispersion; Probability Concepts: Basic Outcomes, Events, Sample Spaces; Probability Calculations: Counting Rules using Permutations and Combinations, Unions and Intersections, Complementary Events, Mutually Exclusive Events, Conditional Probability and Independent Events; Binomial, Poisson and Normal Random Variables; Correlation and Simple Linear Regression
The Data Interpretation section aims to assess a candidate’s ability to make valid interpretations from a given set of data. It also assesses a candidate’s ability to understand different representative forms of data such as simple tables, histograms, pie charts, graphs, scatter diagrams, etc.
The JMET gives an All India Rank (AIR) to the qualified candidates. The ranks till which a General category candidate can expect a call from various Institutes are:
IIT Mumbai: 350 - 400
IIT Delhi: 550 - 650
IIT Kharagpur: 1100 - 1300

The movie’s title is inspired by the presiding deity Virudhagireeswarar at Vriddhachalam, the Assembly constituency Vijayakanth represents. But the movie is said to be a greatly localized version of the Liam Neeson starrer film ‘Taken’. It is also rumored to have traces of the French film ‘Wasabi’ which was an inspiration to Sarath Kumar’s ’Jaggubai’. Virudhagiri’ was shot extensively at Malaysia, Hong Kong, Bangkok and neighboring countries. In fact the Captain says only 25% of the film was shot in India and all the rest were in exotic foreign locations.
Madhuri Idaki, a Bangalore model is the heroine. Meenakshi Dikshit is another glam quotient. Shankar from Mumbai is the villain. Arun Pandian, Mansoor Ali Khan, Peeli Sivam, Kalai Rani, Uma Padmanabhan, Shanmugarajan and comedy actor Shams are other important actors in the film.
‘Virudhagiri’ has been given a ‘UA’ certificate by the Regional Censor Board in Chennai. The film is hitting the theatres on December 10, 2010 all over the world.

The Big Picture
Zimbabwe just cannot seem to solve the Abdur Razzak conundrum. The left-arm spinner has taken 13 wickets in the three matches so far, and Zimbabwe coach Alan Butcher has said his batsmen were having technical problems in playing Razzak. Batting has clearly been an area of concern for Zimbabwe. The problem seems to be an over-reliance on Brendan Taylor and Tatenda Taibu. On the four occasions Zimbabwe have managed to score more than 250 runs in 2010, either of those two has got a half-century. With both struggling so far in this series, the other batsmen haven't been able to take Zimbabwe to decent totals.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, are motoring along nicely on all fronts. Shakib Al Hasan said the most pleasing thing about the previous match was the performance of his fast bowlers. Shafiul Islam and Mashrafe Mortaza had taken just one wicket between them in the first two games, but combined to pick up five in the third. Bangladesh will hope they can continue to assist the left-arm spinners so they have a more balanced bowling attack going into the World Cup.
There is some extra motivation for Bangladesh as well. They have a chance to break into the top eight in the ICC ODI rankings if they win the two remaining games in the series. With West Indies' one-day series in Sri Lanka postponed till next month, Bangladesh could go equal with them on 67 points, after which the rankings will be determined by the trailing decimals.

Watch out for …
Prosper Utseya, Zimbabwe's stand-in captain for the third ODI, tops their runs and wickets charts for the series. Utseya's offspin and Ray Price's left-arm spin were Zimbabwe's main bowling threats on the slow Mirpur track. After his 67 in the third match, Zimbabwe may consider pushing Utseya up the order.
Shafiul Islam took a career-best 4 for 43 in the previous match. Ahead of the fourth game, he said he has bowled as fast as 143 kph in the nets. With Mashrafe Mortaza easing into rhythm on his return from injury, Shafiul has another chance to establish himself as Bangladesh's lead seamer.
Pitch conditions
After three games in Mirpur, the action shifts to the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong for the last two ODIs. The wicket is expected to be slow and low, and, like Mirpur, assist spin. There have been only two scores of over 250 in nine ODIs at the ground. Price, however, noticed some differences in the conditions. "There is some long grass on this wicket," he said. "The outfield too is different from Mirpur. So it is difficult to predict how the wicket will behave."
Shafiul said the surface was turning when Bangladesh practiced on it before the series, while Utseya expected 240 to 250 to be a good score. Zimbabwe struggled during the two ODIs they played in Chittagong in November 2009, getting bowled out for 44 in the first one.
Teams
Elton Chigumbura, who missed the previous game with a groin strain, trained with the team on Wednesday, but is doubtful for Friday's match. "When I was fielding I felt sore," Chigumbura said on Wednesday. "I wasn't yet 100%, there is still some pain and I will know by tomorrow if I feel right." Hamilton Masakadza replaced Keith Dabengwa for the third ODI but only scored 3, so he could be dropped again.
Zimbabwe (possible): 1 Brendan Taylor, 2 Chamu Chibhabha, 3 Regis Chakabva, 4. Keith Dabengwa / Hamilton Masakadza, 5 Tatenda Taibu (wk), 6 Craig Ervine, 7 Elton Chigumbura (capt) / Graeme Cremer, 8 Prosper Utseya, 9 Shingirai Masakadza / Keegan Meth, 10 Raymond Price, 11 Chris Mpofu
Bangladesh are unlikely to change their winning combination.
Bangladesh (possible): 1 Tamim Iqbal, 2 Imrul Kayes, 3 Junaid Siddique, 4 Raqibul Hasan, 5 Shakib Al Hasan (capt), 6 Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), 7 Naeem Islam, 8 Suhrawadi Shuvo, 9 Mashrafe Mortaza, 10 Abdur Razzak, 11 Shafiul Islam
Stats and Trivia
* Abdur Razzak is two wickets away from equalling the record for the most wickets by a bowler in a five-match bilateral series. The record is currently jointly held by Ajantha Mendis who took 15 in five matches against Zimbabwe in November 2008, Zimbabwe's Graeme Cremer against Kenya in January 2009 and Razzak himself against Zimbabwe in October 2009.
* Prosper Utseya's career-best figures of 4 for 38 in the third ODI was only his second four-wicket haul in 120 matches. Utseya is now Zimbabwe's fourth highest wicket-taker in ODIs and needs three more to catch up with Paul Strang.
Quotes
"In the first two ODIs, our fast bowlers did not bowl the right line and length. We [the seamers] had been facing some problems, which we have succeeded in overcoming with advice from our coach."
Shafiul Islam expects improved performances from him and Mashrafe Mortaza in the rest of the series
"The last time I came here, Abdur Razzak used to bowl straight but this time he seems to be varying them, turning them, and it's just a matter of watching the ball closely. We just have to try and play with the spin and cover our stumps."
Elton Chigumbura believes denying Razzak wickets could be the key for Zimbabwe

details of libido and meaning
Libido, like so many words associated with the sexual sphere, has a variety of meanings both popular and technical. On the most simple colloquial level it may be used as a synonym for the sexual drive, and various remedies are advertised as the surest way to revive a flagging libido, even perhaps incorporating ‘libido’ in the name (e.g. Dr X's Libido Energiser). The word is of much later derivation than the term ‘libidinous’ — from the Latin for lust, meaning characterized by excessive sexual desire. Libido was first brought into usage by Freud as a term which would express for the sexual instinct what ‘hunger’ did for the instinct of nutrition, and which did not have the duality of meaning (both desire and its satisfaction) that pertains to ‘lust’ in German.
Freud made the startling statement about this quality that, though generally assumed to be absent in childhood, to become manifest at puberty, and to develop fully in maturity under the influence of irresistible sexual attraction between the opposite sexes, it was in fact present from birth and far less simple in its progression towards the end decreed by social convention. The infant's libido, he argued, was first directed to itself and the pleasures it could obtain from its own body. Thus the libido was initially directed towards the mouth and the oral pleasures of sucking, then to the anal region, and only subsequently to the genital organs. However, eventually the libido would become invested in (cathected towards) external objects. The first external object to which the libido became attached was the mother; it would attach to the father much later.
The popular assumption was that, following puberty, the libido would ‘naturally’ be turned as it awoke towards an eligible member of the opposite sex. However, if the libido had been in existence since birth, and had already become attached to various organs or objects, it might, Freud claimed, for various reasons, have become fixated at one particular level, which would create problems in turning in the direction of a more appropriate object. This could have disastrous effects for later sexual life. The individual would have no conscious awareness of the nature of the fixation, but the libido would constantly turn away from the possibility of satisfaction in reality, towards a fantasy gratification.
Freud has been criticized for his identification of the infantile (pre-pubertal) libido as male, so that the female child's sexuality, focussed on the clitoris, was defined by him as an immature masculine stage. As she developed, the female was supposed to make the transfer from clitoral to mature womanly vaginal satisfaction. However, given the importance which Freud attached to the pre-genital elements in the development of the libido, and his suggestion that only at puberty did a male-female polarity occur, it is possible to read the libido as a much less gendered force which, even in the male child, may not have an assertive and phallic quality.
Freud (Libidinal Types, 1931) suggested that the direction of the adult libidinal urge fell into three broad categories, according to whether the instinctual id, the super-ego, or the ego predominated in the individual's make-up. The ‘erotic’ type, swayed by the ‘elementary instinctual demands of the id’, was mainly interested in love, and being loved was more important than loving. The ‘obsessional’ type, ruled by the super-ego, was ruled by fear of the naggings of conscience. And the ‘narcissisitic’ type did not have the tension between the requirements of the ego and the demands of the super-ego manifested by the obsessional type, was mainly interested in self-preservation, and in erotic life was more concerned with loving than being loved. However, these types were seldom found unmixed, and usually two were found in combination. Freud suggested that, while theoretically possible, it was almost a jest to posit the threefold mixture, erotic-obsessional-narcissistic, but a serious one since this was an absolute norm, an ideal harmony. However, although there were these three ways of deploying the libido, one or two were almost certain to predominate in any particular individual at the expense of the alternative possibilities.
In his later writings, and in particular following his identification of a ‘death instinct’, Freud positioned the libido as the characteristic energy of the life instincts. However, he never went as far as Carl Jung, for whom the libido was the manifestation of general psychic energy, which might be expressed through sexual channels but was not in itself sexual. Jung saw the libido as flowing between the opposite poles of the conscious and the unconscious, the outer and inner life, in a continuous cycle of progression and regression.
Other psychoanalysts and psychoanalytic schools also advanced differing views on the nature of the libido. The ‘Neo-Freudians’ (Adler, Rank, Horney, Sullivan, and Fromm, to name the best-known theoreticians of this school) rejected the theory of instinctual drive embodied in classical Freudian libido theory, and emphasized the significance of interpersonal relationships in structuring the psyche, replacing the primitive drives of the libido with the idea of a healthy striving towards ‘self-realization’. Ronald Fairbairn (1889-1965), who had a significant influence on the British ‘object relations’ school, saw the object as the aim of the libido: it was a movement from the ego towards an object rather than an inherent quality, but did, however, most easily pass via the erotogenic zones. For Fairbairn, the libido, being concerned with the formation of a satisfactory emotional contact with an external object, was generated by the ego, whereas for Freud it was an impersonal force gushing out of the well of primitive passions, the id. At the other extreme, Wilhelm Reich reified the libido as an actual physical force grounded in the body, ‘orgone energy’, rather than a powerful metaphor for shifting and mutable sexual interest.
Freud's conception of the libido as a mutable, slippery, constantly transforming force is, it is apparent, reflected in the changing meanings which have been assigned to this concept.

Kumari Fulbright Heads to Prison
That seems to be the mantra for a number of misbehaving models and beauty queens, most recently former beauty pageant contestant Kumari Fulbright, who was sentenced to two years in prison and six months' probation today after she pleaded guilty to kidnapping and torturing her ex-boyfriend two years ago.
Fulbright, 28, competed in the Miss Arizona beauty pageant before earning her J.D. from the University of Arizona's law school, where she was listed as a member of the law journal's editorial board, according to ABC News.
But in 2007, the pageant queen became embroiled in a plot targeting her ex-boyfriend, Joshua Conway, and hinging on a piece of jewelry she was given by another ex-boyfriend, Robert Ergonis. That fall, Fulbright had asked Conway to sell the piece of jewelry. When Ergonis later asked her where it was, she lied and said Conway had stolen it.
She and Ergonis then lured Conway to Fulbright's apartment, where Ergonis and another man tied him up, beat and cut him, and held him at gunpoint for 10 hours until he managed to escape.
Not exactly exemplary pageant behavior.
But Fulbright is not the first beauty to face the law for criminal or otherwise unruly behavior. Below, Surge Desk looks at three other misbehaving models.
1. Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition model Jessica White
Jessica White, who won a coveted spot in this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, was arrested in October for assaulting a woman on a street corner, The New York Post reported.
The court complaint said that White, who has been linked to fellow firecracker Sean Penn, "pulled the victim's hair and struck [the victim] numerous times in the face with her hand, causing abrasions, swelling and substantial pain."
2. Beauty queen Angie Sanclemente Valencia
In May, 31-year-old Colombian beauty queen Angie Sanclemente Valencia was accused of compelling other young models to smuggle cocaine from Argentina to Europe by promising them first-class travel, according to the BBC. She was on the run for five months before police discovered her living in a youth hostel in Buenos Aires.
3. Supermodel Karen Mulder
In July 2009, former Dutch supermodel Karen Mulder, who had an illustrious career modeling alongside the likes of Naomi Campbell, Helena Christensen and Kate Moss, was arrested in Paris for threatening to attack her plastic surgeon over the telephone, the Daily Mail reported
"She was screaming and shouting about the operation and became extremely threatening. There were repeated calls to the female surgeon, who was extremely scared," a detective reported.
Mulder was arrested on charges of "threatening behavior" and has kept a low profile ever since.

Jillian Michaels leaving 'The Biggest Loser'
Jillian Michaels, the tyrant trainer with a heart, is leaving "The Biggest Loser."
The 11th season, which starts in January, will be her last, she said. What do you think Michael's departure will mean for the show and its ratings? Is this like Simon Cowell leaving "American Idol"? Or does the emotional resonance of "The Biggest Loser" transcend the trainers? (Don't panic. Bob Harper isn't going anywhere. At least not yet.)
Michaels' departure was not supposed to be revealed until Monday, when the network was planning to name the Season 11 contestants. But, as anyone who has dealt with Michaels know, there's no muzzling Jillian. She announced it herself on her Twitter account: "season 11 of Biggest Loser will be my last :) have to finish out my contract."
Also via Twitter, Michaels said she plans to take a year off, do more charity work and "focus on becoming a mommy." She added that her summer TV series, "Losing It," played a role in her decision. That show saw her traveling the country, moving in with families and helping them live more healthful lives. "Living with kids I saw firsthand what I was missing," she tweeted.
Executives declined to comment Friday on the departure. But Michaels said -- also via Twitter -- that a new trainer was on the way and that she would spent her final season helping to launch the new trainer.

salvia divinorum details
Salvia divinorum (also known as Diviner's Sage, ska María Pastora, Seer's sage, and by its genus name Salvia) is a psychoactive plant which can induce dissociative effects. Its native habitat is within cloud forest in the isolated Sierra Mazateca of Oaxaca, Mexico, growing in shady and moist locations. The plant grows to over a meter high, has hollow square stems, large leaves, and occasional white flowers with violet calyx. Botanists have not determined whether Salvia divinorum is a cultigen or a hybrid; native plants reproduce vegetatively, rarely producing viable seed.
Salvia divinorum has a long and continuous tradition of religious use by Mazatec shamans, who use it to facilitate visionary states of consciousness during spiritual healing sessions. Most of the plant's local common names allude to the Mazatec belief that the plant is an incarnation of the Virgin Mary, with its ritual use also invoking that relationship. Its active psychoactive constituent is a structurally unique diterpenoid called salvinorin A, a potent κ-opioid and D2 receptor agonist. Salvia divinorum is generally understood to be of low toxicity (high LD50) and low addictive potential; as a κ-opioid agonist.
Media stories generally raise alarms over Salvia divinorum's legal status and are sometimes headlined with generally ill-supported comparisons to LSD or other psychoactive substances. Parental concerns are raised by focusing on salvia's usage by younger teens—the emergence of YouTube videos purporting to depict its use being an area of particular concern in this respect. The isolated and controversial suicide of Brett Chidester received much media attention.
Salvia divinorum remains legal in most countries and, within the United States, is legal in the majority of states. However, some have called for its prohibition. While not currently regulated by US federal drug laws, several states have passed laws criminalizing the substance. Some proposed state bills have failed to progress and have not been made into law (with motions having been voted down or otherwise dying in committee stages). There have not been many publicized prosecutions of individuals violating anti-salvia laws in the few countries and states in which it has been made illegal.

Nicholas Brooks's girlfriend Sylvie Cachay death
Police are questioning Nicholas Brooks on the death of his girlfriend Sylvie Cachay in Soho House, but as of this evening, the Times reports, he hasn’t requested the presence of a lawyer. (Interesting, because Brooks, the privileged son of Oscar-winning composer Joseph Brooks, can’t be sweating the retainer.) Brooks, who didn’t return to the couple’s hotel room until after Cachay’s body had been found in CSI-like circumstances by police, told authorities that he had been out to drinks with a man he had just met in the lobby.
Brooks and Cachay's relationship may have been rocky. Gawker points out that the 24-year-old Brooks's greatest accomplishment seems to be a starring role in a collection of Facebook photos featuring booze and weed. Cachay, at 33, looks like a different breed — a polyglot, dual-citizen designer who owned her own business. So it’s maybe not surprising that a friend of Cachay’s characterized their two-month-long relationship as “unhealthy” to the Daily News. And it looks like Cachay may have been in the process of breaking it off hours before she died.
There weren’t clear signs of struggle when Cachay was found at 3 a.m. Wednesday, but there were bruises around her collarbone that now have police considering strangulation. Authorities have also noticed Cachay's singed strands of hair, and a bite mark on her hand. Mysteries. Now it's up to the medical examiner to determine her cause of death.
Brooks and Cachay's relationship may have been rocky. Gawker points out that the 24-year-old Brooks's greatest accomplishment seems to be a starring role in a collection of Facebook photos featuring booze and weed. A collection of kisses
A kiss - a simple act that can convey a diverse array of meanings. A kiss can be intimate and private, or meant for public display, it can convey love and affection, or simply provide comfort.
